Krakow
authorities
project
that
over
20 office
buildings
will
be built
in the
coming
years.
The
capital
of Małopolska
attracts
both
domestic
and
international
investors
in the
real
estate
sector.
The
city
currently
has
between
280,000
and
300,000
square
meters
of office
space
of various
standard. The
largest
office
development
in Małopolska
was
launched
last
Thursday
in Krakow
by the
Buma
Group.
2012
will
see
the
completion
of this
complex
of four
office
buildings
to let,
of the
highest
class
A, worth
approximately
150
million
euro
and
offering
over
48,000
square
meters
of floor
space. As
the
President
of the
Buma
Group,
Jacek
Michalski,
told
the
press
on Thursday,
due
to the
size
of the
project,
it will
be built
in four
stages
until
2012.
The
first
building
of the
entire
development
should
be ready
by the
fourth
quarter
of next
year.
"Staging
the
development
will
allow
us to
meet
market
demand
on a
current
basis,
and
if need
be,
they
can
be accelerated
or delayed"
President
Michalski
explained. The
plans
call
for
constructing
four
14-storey
buildings
of the
highest
class
A, as
well
as all
the
accompanying
infrastructure
including
underground
and
ground-level
car
parks
for
1,100
cars,
in the
Bora-Komorowskiego
Ave.
in the
northern
part
of Krakow.
Kazimierz
Bujakowski,
Krakow
Mayor’s
Deputy
for
spatial
development,
finds
that
the
development
contributes
to the
strategy
of the
city
as a
European
centre
of professional
services
such
as book-keeping,
accounting
or information
technology. Globe
Trade
Centre
SA started
building
the
Kazimierz
Office
Centre
worth
25 million
euro.
The
Irish
developer
Quinlan
Private
Golub
will
invest
some
60 million
euro
in constructing
the
Enterprise
Park
office
project
in the
post-industrial
Zabłocie
district.
The
first
stage
of this
development
is to
be completed
late
next
year.
According
to data
by CB
Richard
Ellis,
whose
business
includes
real
estate
market
monitoring,
some
15 new
office
buildings
with
127,000
square
meters
of usable
space
are
to be
built
in Krakow
by 2009.
