The
construction
of the
Quattro
Business
Park,
the
biggest
office
complex
currently
under
construction
in southern
Poland,
started
at the
Bora-Komorowskiego
Ave.
By
the
end
of 2012,
four
14-storey
buildings
designed
by the
Warsaw-based
Kuryłowicz
&
Associates
Architect's
Firm
will
have
been
built
at the
Bora-Komorowskiego
Avenue.
Their
construction
is to
cost
some
150
million
euro. The
complex
will
offer
48,000
m2 of
office
space
as well
as auxiliary
services
including
underground
and
ground-level
car
parks
for
1,100
vehicles,
restaurants,
medical
clinics
and
a conference
centre
for
200
people. Because
of its
size,
the
development
will
be completed
in four
phases.
The
first
building
is to
be commissioned
in 2009.
The
second,
together
with
the
multi-level
car
park,
in 2010.
The
remaining
two
in 2011
and
2012,
respectively. "Phasing
the
development
will
allow
us to
meet
the
market
demand
on a
current
basis,
and
phases
can
be accelerated
or delayed
as needed"
explains
Jacek
Michalski,
the
President
of the
developer
–
the
Buma
Group. The
Deputy
Mayor
of Krakow
for
spatial
development,
Kazimierz
Bujakowski,
judges
that
the
development
contributes
to the
city's
strategy.
"We
are
becoming
a European
centre
of services
based
on knowledge
and
high
technologies"
he says. Krakow
now
has
some
280,000
- 300,000
m2 of
office
space
of various
standard. This
capital
of Małopolska
has
appealed
to domestic
and
international
real
estate
investors
for
a long
time.
Krakow
authorities
project
that
in the
coming
years
the
city
will
see
over
20 new
office
buildings,
some
of them
in its
north.
According
to Professor
Andrzej
Wyżykowski,
the
city's
Chief
Architect,
Olsza
has
been
considered
its
strategic
area
for
a long
time.
"Now
we can
finally
see
the
potential
of this
place
utilised"
says
he. In
the
neighbourhood
of the
Quattro
Business
Park
under
construction
there
is already
the
recently
built
Rondo
Business
Park.
Another
project
in this
area
is planned
by Mayland
developments,
which
intends
to erect
three
glass
towers
housing
offices
and
a hotel
between
the
Dobrego
Pasterza
and
Bora-Komorowskiego
streets. The
development
will
feature
offices,
underground
and
ground-level
car
parks,
restaurants,
medical
clinics
and
a conference
centre
