Modern office buildings are examples of good architecture, of buildings ingenuously and functionally harmonised with the existing development or new space. Whole complexes of them are being built on the outskirts of Krakow or along main thoroughfares because of the good accessibility and the ability to construct large car parks. However, developers also erect office blocks in the city centre (CB Lubicz, Platinum), as tenants find these locations advantageous. There is a lot of activity in this market, as many tenants are moving to new offices, and numerous companies are growing bigger and bigger, which forces them to look for more space. They are motivated not only by good rents (approx. EUR 12 – EUR 15 per meter square), but additional benefits, like rent-free periods or contributions to office fit-out.
