Futurebuild
exhibition
organized
from
2005,
is the
largest
exhibition
event
in
the
UK,
dedicated
to modern
methods
of construction,
particularly
to
prefabricated
construction.
This
exhibition
is an
obligatory
event
for
professionals
active
in construction
and
in the
fields
co-operating
with
construction
industry,
focusing
attention
of significant
suppliers
of prefabricated
construction
products.
This
edition
was
held
between
Feb
27th
and
March
1st
2007
at Earls
Court
exhibition
complex.
This
event
gathered
more
than
10 thousand
visitors
and
delegates,
which
doubled
the
number
of participants
compared
to 2005
edition.
Exhibitor’s
list
consisted
of 88
companies,
where
round
90%
of them
come
from
the
UK.
Buma
Building
Systems
S.A.
was
the
only
middle-east
European
company,
who
featured
its
building
system
of Free-Dom
volumetric
modules,
well-known
in Poland
and
present
for
4 years
in the
UK market.
Compared
to other
exhibitors
showing
their
modular
systems,
Free-Dom
system
features
not
only
a competitive
price
(of
round
20%
cheaper
than
the
UK competitors),
but
also
a remarkable
quality
and
a very
high
level
of prefabrication.
Buma
stand
enjoyed
a great
popularity,
particularly
among
developers
and
builders.
It
was
a significant
facilitation
for
Buma
visitors,
to
have
consultants
of the
UK partners
of this
Krakow
company
available
on the
stand:
Mr.
Rod
Peck,
Mr.
Colin
Mitchell
and
Ms.
Kate
Aspinall
of Osborne
–
the
main
contractor’s
UK company.
The
Futurebuild
was
accompanied
by parallel
four
other
exhibitions,
which
gathered
totally
round
260
exhibitors
i.e.:
Cityscape:
dedicated
to creation
of a
space
and
regeneration
of public
areas,
ECOBUILD:
for
sustainability
in design
and
construction;
REGENEX:
for
regeneration
of an
urban
spaces
and
BUILDING
FOR
HEALTH
(novelty
in 2007):
dedicated
to planning,
designing,
development
and
management
of Health
Care
facilities.
