| We can order it just like a luxurious car. We select a model, choose interior finish and optional equipment and, after three months, a ready-made building arrives in our land plot.
We got impressed by houses hanging at the cliff edge, by their modern architectural design that made reference to the simplicity of the Bauhaus school, and by fantastic, large glazings, created simply to admire the landscape panorama. We took a closer look at them. It turned out to be a wholly Polish idea. The Bumati home concept was born in the head of Mr. Jacek Michalski, while the ready-made buildings are manufactured in a factory near Cracow, and, what is more, within a few months' time only.
We often buy a piece of land, and right after that we worry that we cannot start living on it at once. It is a waste of time getting involved in a long construction process. We would rather enjoy our new home instead of coping with changeable weather and negligent professionals. In the same way, we do not want to loose beautiful views, screening them with walls, or constructing our home far from a breath-taking cliff, seashore, or lake. The Bumati system is capable of steering well clear of all those reefs.
The Bumati houses are made up of one or several modules, each 4 m wide and at least 6 m long. You can choose from among ready designs, or prepare your own one. All you have to do is plan the home size and configuration, terraces, glazing walls, and partitions. Finally, you have to decide, whether it is going to be a self-finish version, or a complete, "turn-key" version, which has been arranged by an interior architect. And, once you have placed your order…you can forget about it for 3-4 months.
Meanwhile, your home is manufactured in the factory. It is there, where its walls, windows and doors are assembled, and even the built-in wardrobes, as well as bathroom and kitchen cabinetry, plus all services (electrical, water, sewage, heating). Next, home modules are transported to your site by means of heavy platform trucks. Utility connection and erection works last usually 2-5 days.
The house is supported on steel supports of various heights. There is nothing to prevent an owner to set it on an uneven ground, on a slope, in water, or even on another building. One can give free rein to one's imagination but before that it is worth seeing ready exhibition models in Cracow. Views through panoramic windows are unique and dreamlike.
