The Buma Group, a Krakow-based developer, is launching an exhibition of fine art work called “Expositio Buma” - Entrepreneurship in Krakow's Architecture. The preview of works by students of the Krakow University of Technology is combined with the official opening of the ONYX office building, commissioned in the autumn 2008. The purpose of the exhibition is to promote Krakow's entrepreneurship-related architecture in business circles.
The exhibition was opened due to the involvement of scientific circles and students of the Krakow University of Technology. 20 works depicting historical and current buildings in Krakow associated with entrepreneurship were completed within 5 weeks by young architects. From these works, the jury recognised three, whose authors received cash prizes of: PLN 3000 (1st place), PLN 2000 (2nd place) and PLN 1000 (3rd place). The works were produced using various techniques, including pastel, oil, and pencil. Cash prizes went to Konrad Stafiński, a student of the 3rd year of Architecture and Urban Planning from the Krakow University of Technology (1st place), Anna Wójcik, 1st year of Architecture and Urban Planning at that University (2nd place) and Marcin Kitala, 1st year of Architecture and Urban Planning at the same school (3rd place).
